يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ ٱلصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ ١٨٣
Yaa ayyuhal-ladheena aamanoo kutiba `alaykumus-siyaamu kamaa kutiba `alal-ladheena min qablikum la`allakum tattaqoon
O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous -

O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2: 2).
O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you, even as it was prescribed for those before you, that ye may ward off (evil)
O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that ye may (learn) self-restraint
اے ایمان والو! تم پر روزے رکھنا فرض کیا گیا جس طرح تم سے پہلے لوگوں پر فرض کئے گئے تھے، تاکہ تم تقویٰ اختیار کرو۔
Wahai orang-orang yang beriman! Diwajibkan atas kamu berpuasa sebagaimana diwajibkan atas orang sebelum kamu agar kamu bertakwa,
হে মুমিনগণ ! তোমাদের জন্য সিয়ামের বিধান দেয়া হল, যেমন বিধান তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তীদেরকে দেয়া হয়েছিল , যাতে তোমরা তাকওয়ার অধিকারী হতে পার।
