Surah Al-Hadid Ayah 27 (57:27)

Then, We sent after them Our Messengers, and We sent ‘Îsâ (Jesus) - son of Maryam (Mary), and gave him the Injeel (Gospel). And We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him compassion and mercy. But the monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them, but (they sought it) only to please Allâh therewith, but they did not observe it with the right observance. So We gave those among them who believed their (due) reward; but many of them are Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).

Then We caused Our messengers to follow in their footsteps; and We caused Jesus, son of Mary, to follow, and gave him the Gospel, and placed compassion and mercy in the hearts of those who followed him. But monasticism they invented - We ordained it not for them - only seeking Allah's pleasure, and they observed it not with right observance. So We give those of them who believe their reward, but many of them are evil-livers

Then, in their wake, We followed them up with (others of) Our messengers: We sent after them Jesus the son of Mary, and bestowed on him the Gospel; and We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him Compassion and Mercy. But the Monasticism which they invented for themselves, We did not prescribe for them: (We commanded) only the seeking for the Good Pleasure of Allah; but that they did not foster as they should have done. Yet We bestowed, on those among them who believed, their (due) reward, but many of them are rebellious transgressors

ان کے بعد پھر بھی ہم اپنے رسولوں کو پے در پے بھیجتے رہے اور ان کے بعد عیسیٰ بن مریم (علیہ السلام) کو بھیجا اور انہیں انجیل عطا فرمائی اور ان کے ماننے والوں کے دلوں میں شفقت اور رحم پیدا کردیا ہاں رہبانیت (ترک دنیا) تو ان لوگوں نے ازخود ایجاد کرلی تھی ہم نے ان پر اسے واجب نہ کیا تھا سوائے اللہ کی رضاجوئی کے۔ سو انہوں نے اس کی پوری رعایت نہ کی، پھر بھی ہم نے ان میں سے جو ایمان ﻻئے تھے۔ انہیں ان کا اجر دیا اور ان میں زیاده تر لوگ نافرمان ہیں.

Kemudian Kami susulkan rasul-rasul Kami mengikuti jejak mereka dan Kami susulkan (pula) Isa putra Maryam; Dan Kami berikan Injil kepadanya dan Kami jadikan rasa santun dan kasih sayang dalam hati orang-orang yang mengikutinya. Mereka mengada-adakan raḥbāniyyah, padahal Kami tidak mewajibkannya kepada mereka, (yang Kami wajibkan hanyalah) mencari keridaan Allah, tetapi tidak mereka pelihara dengan semestinya. Maka kepada orang-orang yang beriman di antara mereka Kami berikan pahalanya, dan banyak di antara mereka yang fasik.

তারপর আমরা তাদের পিছনে অনুগামী করেছিলাম আমাদের রাসূলগণকে এবং অনুগামী করেছিলাম মারইয়াম-তনয় ঈসাকে, আর তাকে আমরা দিয়েছিলাম ইঞ্জীল এবং তার অনুসারীদের অন্তরে দিয়েছিলাম করুণা ও দয়া। আর সন্ন্যাসবাদ--- এটা তো তারা নিজেরাই আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টি লাভের জন্য প্রবর্তন করেছিল। আমরা তাদেরকে এটার বিধান দেইনি; অথচ এটাও ওরা যথাযথভাবে পালন করেনি। অতঃপর তাদের মধ্যে যারা ঈমান এনেছিল, তাদেরকে আমরা দিয়েছিলাম তাদের পুরস্কার। আর তাদের অধিকাংশই ছিল ফাসিক।
