قَالَ رَبِّ ٱجْعَل لِّىٓ ءَايَةً قَالَ ءَايَتُكَ أَلَّا تُكَلِّمَ ٱلنَّاسَ ثَلَٰثَ لَيَالٍ سَوِيًّا ١٠
Qaala rabbij`al lee aayah, qaala aayatuka allaa tukalliman-naasa thalaatha layaalin sawiyyaa
[Zechariah] said, "My Lord, make for me a sign." He said, "Your sign is that you will not speak to the people for three nights, [being] sound."

[Zakariyyâ (Zachariah)] said: "My Lord! Appoint for me a sign." He said: "Your sign is that you shall not speak unto mankind for three nights, though having no bodily defect."
He said: My Lord! Appoint for me some token. He said: Thy token is that thou, with no bodily defect, shalt not speak unto mankind three nights
(Zakariya) said: "O my Lord! give me a Sign." "Thy Sign," was the answer, "Shall be that thou shalt speak to no man for three nights, although thou art not dumb
کہنے لگے میرے پروردگار میرے لئے کوئی علامت مقرر فرما دے، ارشاد ہوا کہ تیرے لئے علامت یہ ہے کہ باوجود بھلا چنگا ہونے کے تو تین راتوں تک کسی شخص سے بول نہ سکے گا.
Dia (Zakaria) berkata, "Ya Tuhanku, berilah aku suatu tanda." (Allah) berfirman, "Tandamu ialah engkau tidak dapat bercakap-cakap dengan manusia selama tiga malam, padahal engkau sehat."
যাকারিয়্যা বললেন, ‘হে আমার রব! আমাকে একটি নিদর্শন দিন।’ তিনি বললেন, ‘আপনার নিদর্শন এ যে, আপনি সুস্থ থাকা সত্ত্বেও কারো সাথে তিন দিন কথাবার্তা বলবেন না।’
