Surah Yusuf Ayah 38 (12:38)

"And I have followed the religion of my fathers, - Ibrâhîm (Abraham), Ishâq (Isaac) and Ya‘qûb (Jacob) [عليهم السلام], and never could we attribute any partners whatsoever to Allâh. This is from the Grace of Allâh to us and to mankind, but most men thank not (i.e. they neither believe in Allâh, nor worship Him).

And I have followed the religion of my fathers, Abraham and Isaac and Jacob. It never was for us to attribute aught as partner to Allah. This is of the bounty of Allah unto us (the seed of Abraham) and unto mankind; but most men give not thanks

And I follow the ways of my fathers,- Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and never could we attribute any partners whatever to Allah: that (comes) of the grace of Allah to us and to mankind: yet most men are not grateful

میں اپنے باپ دادوں کے دین کا پابند ہوں، یعنی ابراہیم واسحاق اور یعقوب کے دین کا ، ہمیں ہرگز یہ سزاوار نہیں کہ ہم اللہ تعالیٰ کے ساتھ کسی کو بھی شریک کریں، ہم پر اور تمام اور لوگوں پر اللہ تعالیٰ کا یہ خاص فضل ہے، لیکن اکثر لوگ ناشکری کرتے ہیں.

dan aku mengikuti agama nenek moyangku: Ibrahim, Ishak dan Yakub. Tidak pantas bagi kami (para nabi) mempersekutukan sesuatu apa pun dengan Allah. Itu adalah karunia dari Allah kepada kami dan kepada manusia (semuanya); tetapi kebanyakan manusia tidak bersyukur."

‘আমি আমার পিতৃপুরুষ ইব্‌রাহীম, ইস্‌হাক এবং ইয়া’কূবের মিল্লাত অনুসরণ করি। আল্লাহ্‌র সাথে কোনো বস্তুকে শরীক করা আমাদের জন্য সংগত নয়। এটা আমাদের ও সমস্ত মানুষের প্রতি আল্লাহ্‌র অনুগ্রহ; কিন্তু অধিকাংশ মানুষই কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করে না।
