By time,
- An oath in which Allāh swears by time throughout the ages.

The Declining Day, Epoch · also written Surah Asr
Al-'Asr ("The Time") has only three verses but summarises the path to success: faith, righteous deeds, and encouraging one another to truth and to patience. It is chapter 103 of the Quran, found in juz 30, on page 601 of the Madinah mushaf.

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لَفِى خُسْرٍ ٢
Innal-insaana lafee khusr
Indeed, mankind is in loss,
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ ٣
Illal-ladheena aamanoo wa`amilus-saalihaati watawaasaw bil-haqqi watawaasaw bis-sabr
Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.
